I knew I had seen Groudon, sort of. Concealed within the sandstorm. Such a large legendary, far from the elegant titans of Johto or even the magnificent dragons of Sinnoh. He was bulky, craggy. Rather like the land he creates. But he hadn't stuck around. So I descended towards my friends. As soon as Whitetip touched the ground I leapt at Walker, almost knocking him to the ground with a hug. I was just glad he was ok, he favoured bug types, known for their wicked speed and sinister abilities. But it was quite a fierce storm. He hugged me back.
"Did you see it?" he whispered.
"I saw something. Is everyone ok?"
"I think so,"

"Ok, time to meet the guy with the strange name," I grin, pushing open the doors.
"Have fun," Sparrow hops up into a tree, sitting with his back against it.
"We should be fine," I enter the building.
I am struck by how much water he has managed to get into the room. It is deeper than it appears from outside. Small floating platforms connect pillars of stone, where trainers stand.
"Ok. Vulp, you ready?" I pick her up, and she curls herself around my neck.
We make short work of the trainers, and reach the end of the hall, where Wake sits cross legged, apparently on the water.
"Crasher Wake?" I ask. "

The sandstorm was worse, and though Whitetip was keeping level, his sails spread flat out I wasn't doing as well. Even with the goggles, the sand ripped across my nose and cheek. It hurt. Another problem was that I had no idea where my friends were. And Sparrow.
"Whitetip can you control the sand?"
He roared and shook his head, this wasn't his work. Explosions rattled from underneath, and all I could think about were the pokémon. Not only the only the ones escaping from the complex, but the desert pokémon. The communities of sandshrew and sandslash, the nests of trapinch, vibrava, even the vicious cacnea and cacturne

A picture by our ~Werebudgie, who has allowed me to put it up here. what could be a front cover for Trainers of Legends. It's apparently her first time with water colours, which I think is very good. Original in her gallery
The Altaria and the Persian are our trainers as pokemon, kinda. It's explained more in the story, but not for a while. There is a bit of it here, on our ID.

what could be considered a blurb for this:
"When legends repeat, something will change"
The words of BlueJay's gran the day before she sets off on her pokémon journey. Hoping to just have a normal journey through Sinnoh, it soon becomes clear that the legends have plans set in motion that will have both BlueJay and Joanna struggling to stay human.

hmm, I think I should have explained more in the artist's comment...
the persian and the altaria are symbols of our trainers, their pokemon persona sort of thing. It's explained more in the story, but not for ages.
